Two charged with manslaughter are refused bail

TWO people charged with the manslaughter of Belper boy Riley Pettipiere appeared in front of magistrates in Derby on Thursday, March 15.

Shaun Binfield, 44, and Sally-Ann Dent, 32, of Kilbourne Road, where they lived together with Riley in a flat above the News and Booze Extra shop in the town were remanded.

Both were remanded in custody until March 29 when they will appear at Nottingham Crown court.

Riley, aged two, died at the flat on Tuesday morning.

Tributes were being laid outside the flat this week, including flowers and teddy bears.
