BIG-HEARTED twins from Langley Mill ran a half-marathon to raise cash for two good causes.

Abbie and Rose Leivers, aged 20, presented a cheque for £500 to the acute stroke ward 410 at the Royal Derby Hospital.

Their grandfather Dennis spent several months on the ward this year before sadly dying. The girls raised a grand total of £1,000 by running in the Robin Hood half-marathon in September.

The other half of the money will be donated to Cancer Research UK.
