Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to 26-year-old Marlpool man Craig Parkin who was killed in a car crash.
He died on Monday, July 2. His best friend Jonathan Wright said he was a ‘loveable person’ and the best friend anyone could ever have. He was happy, cheerful, always there to help you,” said Jonathan.
Another friend Simon Wright said: “He was a top, top guy. He loved his cars and he loved helping people. He was a family man.”
Craig lived with his partner of the past two-and-a-half years, Gina Downes in Roper Avenue. He had just got a new job and was planning on getting married.
He had just startedwork at Beamlight Automotive in Eastwood, and was on his way to do a nightshift when he lost control of his vehicle and it ended up upside down on the slip road leading up to the firm. Carole Harwood, the production manager, said Craig fitted in straight away and was a ‘good guy’.
