Tree tribute to remember loved ones this Christmas

Heanor firm Gillotts Funeral Directors has thanked everyone who has been involved in its remembrance tree appeal. The company put up a Christmas tree at the start of December and invited people to hang messages in memory of loved ones – and it is now rapidly running out of space.

The company will pledge £1 for each message received, with the money going to a local good cause – Nuthall and District Community First Responders, a group of ten unpaid volunteers who work with the East Midlands Ambulance Service, attending incidents and caring for patients until paramedics turn up. Although based across Nottinghamshire, the group often work in Amber Valley. The annual appeal is ongoing and you can still drop into the Abbott Street office to leave tributes.
