Denby, Kilburn and Little Eaton flooding

Denby Parish Council have posted a video onto their Facebook page, showing flooding from Bottle Brook. A flood alert for the area remains in place. The Environment Agency said that the areas most at risk are low-lying agricultural land and roads - including the B6179 at Kilburn and Little Eaton - and farmlands in the Kilburn and Little Eaton areas.

East Midlands Railway services continue to be disrupted due to flooding - impacting passengers travelling to and from Chesterfield, Long Eaton and Derby.

Drivers have taken to social media to urge others to avoid Birkin Lane, between Temple Normanton, after the route was hit by flooding.

Some residents have reported on social media that flooding has impacted Works Road and Whittington Road, under the rail bridges at Barrow Hill.

Motorists were urged to avoid Rylah Hill, a route connecting Bolsover and the M1. One driver took to social media to report that the road was flooding, and to urge others to avoid the route if possible.

Fire service urges residents to stay safe

Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service urged residents to take care if leaving their homes this evening.

Mountain rescue team evacuate vehicles amid flood threat

Derby Mountain Rescue Team have evacuated their emergency response vehicles - with flood warnings and alerts in place across the county.

Volunteers have rallied to help Belper Town FC ahead of potential flooding this evening.
