Top marks for school

WAINGROVES Primary School is going from strength to strength according to a Government report.

Inspectors from The Office for Standards in Education, Children’s Services and Skills (OFSTED) visited the school, on Waingroves Road, Ripley, for two days.

They found a `good and improving’ school where teaching was well-planned, care, guidance and support of pupils was `exemplary’ and attendance was above average.

Headteacher Amarjeet Challand said: “We are especially pleased that the hard work and achievements of our pupils and the good teaching has been recognised, along with the commitment of the governing body and parents.”
