A BLOOMING Great Tea Party to raise funds for Marie Curie Cancer Care is to be held in Ripley.
The tea party will take place at Acorn Training, Knightsbridge Place, Nottingham Road, on Thursday, July 21, from 10am to 2pm.
It will include home-made cakes and hand-made jewellery for sale, and a tombola.
All the money raised from the event will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to patients with terminal cancer and other illnesses in the comfort of their own homes or one of the charity’s hospices.
Kimberley Millhouse, of Acorn Training, said: “It’s going to be a fantastic event and a great way to get together with friends old and new. The more money we raise, the more free care Marie Curie Nurses can provide to people at home.”
The tea party is one of many taking place across the country as part of a bid to raise £1m this summer. To hold your own tea party, call 08700 340 040 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/teaparty.
