CHILDREN at Aldercar Infants School were entertained with whirlwind tour of brass and woodwind instruments when musical duo Travelling by Tuba visited them on Friday.
The pupils were treated to a series of workshops and performances by the pair, who played an array of instruments including tuba, trumpet and alpenstock.
Afterwards the children from the Godkin Drive school, in Langley Mill, performed salsa songs and Spanish music for their parents using chime bars and maracas.
Headteacher Gayle Sheil said: “Travelling by Tuba talked about the history of brass instruments going back to Roman times and the children really enjoyed it.”
The event was deemed a huge succeess, which the children enjoyed greatly.
