BIG-HEARTED customers at a Loscoe pub have raised an impressive £2,250 for the air ambulance with a raffle and an auction.
Emma Smith, landlady of the Gate Inn, High Street, decided to organise the fundraising event after she realised the air ambulance relies on donations.
She said: “They shouldn’t be – they’re another emergency service and they do a great job.”
Prizes were donated by generous local firms and individuals, and included tickets to see Manchester United play, rounds of golf, a day’s racing at Silverstone and a portable dvd player.
Music was provided by Just Us and funny man ‘Silly’ Billy Shannon compered the evening.
