A REAL sweet pair are featured in this week’s Rescue Me campaign, which aims to find unwanted animals new homes .

Tabby cat ‘Fruit Salad’ and his pal Black Jack are a couple of streetwise elder statesmen.

They were taken in at the RSPCA Centre, on Abbey Street, Derby, after they were spotted by an inspector. It is believed the older cats were homeless and may have met on the street.

Both are male and are around 10-years-old. Fruit Salad is microchipped but unfortunately the owner has changed address and cannot be contacted.

They are both very affectionate and need to be re-homed together as they get distressed if parted. They get on with other cats, perhaps a quiet dog and would be fine with children. If you think you could take in these two cats then call the RSPCA centre on 01332 344 620.
