A bespoke pre-cast concrete firm that worked on the London Olympics is diversifying into street furniture.

Alfreton firm Evans Concrete has bought out Leicestershire stonework company Blanc de Bierges and is preparing to launch a range of hard landscaping products early in 2013. Blanc de Bierges was founded over 40 years ago and produces cast stonework items for landscaping and architectural applications.

Chris McBride, of Evans, said: “Traditionally, we’ve specialised in providing bespoke pre-cast concrete solutions. But we’ve known for a while now that we have the in-house expertise and capabilities to successfully diversify into hard landscaping and the cast stone sector.”
