Staff pay tribute to Gene Wilder

Eye-catching staff at an Alfreton opticians became Oompa Loompas for World Alzheimer’s Day at the end of September. The staff at Scrivens Opticians and Hearing Care on High Street dressed up for a charity cake sale to support Alzheimer’s Society and in tribute to the late actor Gene Wilder who had the disease. Branch manager Jo Wright said: “Dementia touches so many families and this day gave us a chance to raise awareness of the charity and its need for funds.”
