Snowdrop Tea draws in the crowds

At least 80 people enjoyed the annual Snowdrop Tea recently held at St Martin’s of Tours, the ancient parish church of Alfreton. The churchyard is full of snowdrops flowering and everyone relished in the ‘sheer enjoyment’ of the occasion. Extra tables were hastily laid and the places filled three and four times over, as folk crowded in and caught up with the news from old friends, workmates and school pals. The helpers were run off their feet – the sign of a good do.
