Amber Valley Borough Council has launched a mobile website for any web-enabled phone or smartphone to let residents ‘report it’, ‘find it’, ‘pay it’, or ‘request it’ online.
The website, specially designed for viewing on mobile devices, offers the same information as the regular council website.
Council spokesman Hannah Middleton said: “The new mobile website is an exciting and useful tool that will help the public contact us wherever, whenever! The website is still being developed and will continue to grow, therefore we welcome any feedback or suggestions from members of the public on what they would like to see on the site.”
Some of the forms on the site include a geo-location feature for if you are out and about and reporting a problem. Also included is an activities section where you can find local parks and gardens, or even tackle one of the walking routes in Amber Valley.
The site has been undergoing testing for a short time, and has already received some positive feedback. One member of the public described the site as the ouncil’s best kept secret!’
