A RIPLEY shop has raised £75 for Macmillan Cancer Support as part of its 16th birthday celebrations.
Staff at Bon Marche, on Oxford Street, dressed up in festive costumes and sold £1 lucky bags to customers.
They also sold slices of birthday cake and held a raffle.
Store manager Elaine Ford said: “It did go quiet in the afternoon because of the weather but it was pretty good.
“The company chooses the charity - we have done it for Macmillan for the last four years I have been here.”
“But I have a particular interest as my dad died of cancer in October this year and he was in the Macmillian ward of the Royal Derby Hospital.”
