Scouts and Beavers from Langley Mill have landed top awards.
Six Scouts and nine Beavers from the 1st Erewash Group, which meets at the hall at St Andrew’s Church, Station Road, received awards at a presentation and fun barbecue evening on Wednesday, July 17.
The Scouts landed their Chief Scout’s Gold Award, the highest honour they can achieve, after spending up to two and a half years gaining the nine badges needed.
The Beavers landed Chief Scout’s Bronze Awards, the highest honour they can gain, spending up to a year working towards their six badges. Also eight-year-old Ryan Torr, from Heanor, was named the group’s Scout of the Year.
