PARENTS will start finding out this week where their children will be going to primary school.
Derbyshire County Council is sending letters to 11,223 county children making offers of infant and junior school places.
Of people who applied for their place by the deadline - 94.6 per cent will be offered their first choice while 98.5% per cent will get one of their top three choices.
For junior school places almost 97.7 per cent of parents will get their first choice of school and 99.2 per cent will get their top three.
Cllr Mike Longden, cabinet member for education, said: “It’s great news for Derbyshire parents that the vast majority have got their first choice of school for their child.”
