Apparently We Fly

Apparently We Fly

After five weeks of slugging it out for the title of Ripley Battle of the Bands 2012 winner - Alfreton rockers Apparently We Fly took the title on Wednesday. The five-piece ‘post-hardcore’ act beat off four other finalists to triumph at a packed event at the Out of Town pub on Butterley Hill.

As well as receiving a trophy, Apparently We Fly bagged themselves a supporting slot for critically acclaimed rockers Silent Screams at the forthcoming Deafbox Festival to be held at the Intake Club, Mansfield, on September 15 and 16. Organiser of the competition Shaun Bunting, of Deafbox Promotions, said: “The level of bands in the competition was outstanding, and really shows that Derbyshire has an excellent music scene.”
