Ripley shocker: Police smash house of dying man

A dad who has terminal cancer has slammed police after they damaged his house during a drugs raid.

Sven Whittaker, 38, of Peasehill Road, Ripley, returned home to find a police van parked outside his home, his front door smashed and officers searching through his belongings.

The dad-of-one has a rare, incurable tumour on his face and takes a lot of medication to control the pain.

He believes police may have wrongly thought there were illegal drugs in his house.
