A Ripley pub has been bought by a local property developer, who has not been named, for £350,000.

The Moss Cottage Hotel, on Nottingham Road, had an asking price of £350,000, and also traded as a restaurant and hotel.

It features a bar and dining room, a function room and residents’ lounge, with 14 en-suite bedrooms. Sam Spencer, of Bruton Knowles esate agents, said: “We marketed the property widely and received interest from operators and investors equally, considering leasehold and freehold proposals. The buyer has a property-related business and holds a local portfolio, so Moss Cottage is a good fit for him.”
