Reward in search for stolen goat

A CASH reward has been offered for the safe return of a pet goat that was stolen from Waingroves in the early hours of Monday morning.

Thieves broke into the back garden of Helen Walters’ home on Church Street using a ladder as a ramp and took four-year-old Blert.

Helen said: “She was part of the family and she would play with the kids.”

Daughters Sophie, 8, and Elizabeth, 12, are distraught at Blert’s disappearance. She has been rescued from a farm after being mauled by dogs but she still completely trusts humans and dogs.

Blert wears a blue collar and has a hole in her ear from the removal of a tag. She is brown with a distinctive white tuft on the top of her head and has been de-horned. Anyone with information should contact the police on 0345 123 3333.
