Reader letter: Event was a knockout

£1165.50 was raised recently at the Keys public house with a skittles triples knockout tournament in aid of the Royal British Legion Ripley & District Branch.

The winners were the Honeypot who received the charity shield from Branch Chairman Dean Fowler, a fantastic day was had and 21 teams entered the event, with a fun packed Sunday afternoon at the Keys public house Ripley, Linda Green the landlady said it was absolutely amazing that so many teams got involved for a very worthy charity and would along with the Branch Chairman like to thank the following people for their very generous donations James Rawson, Lee Atkin, Wayne Bates, Mick Funnel, Andy Atkins, and Linda Green.

Special thanks to Paula Polly Flinders Stephen Gee and Craig Cheetham for helping organise the event on the run up and on the day, thanks also to Matt Camp for providing the hog roast, the event will be run annually and everyone is looking forward to next year.
