A former paratrooper from Heanor has won a national award for his help in disaster restoration.
Lee Cooper, 30, beat 470 people for the Rainbow International, UK Technician of the Year Award. The Nottingham and Derbyshire-based company delivers vital services to the victims of natural disasters. Lee, who has been working for the company for three years, said he was delighted. He said: “It is extremely rewarding to be helping people come through the trauma of flood or fire and being able to restore their damaged homes.”
