PUPILS at Selston Arts and Community College won a Dragon Den-style competition after they produced a short film, radio advert and video clip on alcohol and violent behaviour.

Teams from colleges in the Ashfield district showcased their work and answered questions about their film in the ‘Den’ at the Arrow Centre in Hucknall.

Nottinghamshire Police Chief Constable Julia Hodson was joined on the judging panel by Nottinghamshire County Council’s cabinet minister Cllr Mick Murphy.

The film will be used in ten school lessons, in assemblies and shown on the canteen TV’s.

Miss McGrath from the Selston school said: “We are so incredibly proud of the students involved. They have worked extremely hard.”
