PUPILS from Brookhill Leys School in Eastwood are set to compete in the East Midlands regional round of the St John Ambulance National Schools’ First Aid Competition.
Junior and Senior teams will battle it out in the regional heats in Chesterfield on March 24 in a bid to take a place in the coveted national finals.
The contest tests youngsters’ first aid knowledge, treatment and teamwork in a variety of scenarios on live ‘casualties’.
Regional rounds are being held across the country and the winning junior and senior teams from each region will go forward to compete at the national final at the Natural History Museum in London on June 27.
Teams from Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and Leicestershire will be taking part in the competitions in Chesterfield.
