YOUNGSTERS from Lons Infant School in Ripley have been getting active.

Children from the Tavistock Avenue school took part in the national ACES event, which stands for All Children Exercise Simultaneously. They joined pupils at schools across the country for the event, which saw them doing exercise sessions.

At Lons Infants, the youngsters exercised during the morning, taking part in events including dancing, rugby, tennis, football, circuit training and parachute games. They also learned about healthy living.

Lons headteacher Amanda Godber said: “All the children and staff had a wonderful morning with lots of fun.”
