Selston High School student Katie Russell has won a poster competition to design an Anti-Bullying Poster.

The competition launched by Nottinghamshire County Council was open to all students in Nottinghamshire Schools.

Katie chose to use photography for her entry having studied the subject at GCSE level at the school.

The poster will be circulated to all schools as part of Nottinghamshire County Councils contribution to anti-bullying week 19th-23rd November 2012.

Katie will be presented with a framed copy of her work at the Anti-bullying Showcase and Celebration event at the Mansfield Palace Theatre on Monday 19th November.

Headteacher, Kevin Gaiderman, said: “This is a tremendous achievement for Katie which not only highlights the high standards our students achieve in Media and Arts but also recognises the work we do to make students aware of the issues surrounding cyber bullying.”
