Those film loving Heage Primary School pupils are at it again - this time getting a peak behind the scenes of Disney’s latest blockbuster.

Since winning the film club of the year title with national movie education charity FILMCLUB, the village school has seen its pupils whisked to all sorts of destinations to interview movie stars such as Steve Carrell and Dame Helen Mirren.

And ten-year-old Elicia Westran, jetted to Los Angeles as part of her role as a junior reporter for the charity’s talent development programme. The film buff, accompanied by her mum, went behind-the-scenes at Disney Toon Studios where Planes, a spin-off of the £500 million grossing Cars, was made and watch a special preview of the 3D film in cinemas now.

Elicia interviewed director Klay Hall, a host of production cast and when she returned to England attended a London press junket, where she quizzed actress Teri Hatcher, who voices character Dottie. She said: “To put it all in one word, it was really exciting. The most interesting thing was finding out about the animation progress and how it all works and how they got to do it.” She added; “My teachers are really proud of me.”
