VISITORS from Kimberley’s twin town in Poland and the Mayor of Broxtowe helped launch a campaign to stop people littering.

Council members from Myszkow County visited the Kimberley Depot in Eastwood Road with Mayor Jacky Williams to see how our waste is recycled and to launch Broxtowe Borough Council’s new campaign ‘Love Where You Live’.

The Love Where You Live campaign will see big posters printed on the back of refuse trucks and aims to encourage residents to stop dropping litter.

A council spokesman said: “It’s part of the wider Keep Britain Tidy Campaign and aims to encourage people to take action to reduce litter in the areas where they live and get people to think about how they use the public areas in the borough.”

Broxtowe councillors will go to Myszkow later in the year.
