An allotments open day in Heanor raised an impressive £890 for the autism charity NORSCA. Plot holders at the Roper Avenue site played host to a range of activities on Sunday, from children’s games to plant and produce stalls and even a scarecrow competition. Pictured here in the main shot are the plot holders taking a well earned sit down. Amelia Nix, four and sister Olivia, seven, model their face paintings , middle, and Brian Coleman and Francesca Allen plant a kiss on a prize winning scarecrow, bottom.
