FROM the best of bread baking to the yearly fun of the water wobble - Waingroves Show had a little something for everyone this year.

The village was full of entertainment over the three days.

On Friday evening, local band, Burns Notice played to a crowd at Waingroves Community Centre. Then on Saturday the best growers and bakers from the area pitted it out in a series of competitions for best vegetables, flowers, cakes and breads.

The Thorn Tree Inn opened its doors for a beer festival, bouncy castle and a circus workshop. And Sunday saw revellers get wet in the annual water wobble - which sees contestants starting at Waingroves Methodist Church and taking on an obstacle course with water balloons. Secretary of Waingroves show committee, Lynsey Booth, said: “We were so lucky with the weather and we had a fantastic week, with a record number of exhibits.”
