Vandals have smashed a set of two paying meters at Shipley Country Park.
A Derbyshire County Council spokesman said: “Unfortunately parking meters at Shipley Country Park were broken into on the evening of June 5 and damage was caused to the base of the machines.
“We are working to replace the broken parts as quickly as possible and in the mean time we have implemented alternative methods of paying for parking at the sites affected.”
An honesty box is in operation at Mapperley Reservoir car park and visitors to the main Old Coppiceside car park need to pay for their parking at the visitor centre.”
Police are appealing for witnesses to the incident to call the force non-emergency number on 101.
