A Ripley opticians has thanked the Mayor of Ripley Town Council for welcoming the new store to the town with a £100 donation to his chosen charity, the Ripley Hospital League of Friends.

Councillor Roland Emmas-Williams officially opened the new Specsavers store in August this year. The team were so grateful for the Mayor’s support and kind words that they invited him back to accept the store’s £100 donation on behalf of the Ripley Hospital League of Friends.

Kuldip Dosanjh, store director at Specsavers, said: “The Mayor was an absolute pleasure to spend time with and he made a lovely speech welcoming us to the town.”
