People in Amber Valley are being invited to nominate the unsung heroes in their community.
Nominations are now open for Futures Homescape’s annual Good Neighbour Award, which gives the housing providers 5,800 tenants the chance to recognise a neighbour who has gone the extra mile.
A good deed could range from simply picking up a tenant’s shopping because they have mobility issues or helping someone pay their bills, to setting up a community group.
Sarah Whattam, Community Development Manager at Ripley-based Futures Homescape, which is part of Futures Housing Group, said: “This is a great opportunity for our tenants to recognise the people in their local community who go that extra mile.
Nominations will close on November 20 before an independent panel of tenants decide an overall winner ahead of a prize giving ceremony on December 2. Visit www.futureshomescape.co.uk for a nomination form or call 01773 573100.
