NHS council opens its doors in South Normanton


An elected NHS council set up to help ensure Derbyshire Community Health Services NHS Trust remains accountable to the communities it serves will meet on Wednesday, June 11, at the Postmill Centre, South Normanton at 6pm.

The ‘council of governors’ plays an active role in ensuring that the voice of the wider community is taken into account in healthcare decision-making by the NHS trust and acts as a source of ideas about how the Trust can provide its services.

Public attendance at the Council of Governors meeting is welcomed.

Discussions will include: patient stories and the trust’s patient experience, quality and performance reports, Heanor Memorial Hospital update, the trust’s strategic plans up to 2016 and a other various reports.
