News comes to the rescue of David’s pride and joy Bobby

A JACKSDALE man who lost his dog down a badger sett has been reunited with his beloved Bobby following an appeal in the News and on Facebook.

David Coope held a week-long vigil for the six-year-old small Patterdale-Jack Russell cross after he disappeared in High Holborn Woods, Codnor, on Thursday, December 29. David, 27, had given up hope of ever finding his dog when his cousin Lisa used the News story to launch a campaign on Facebook.

David’s father-in-law, David Harrison, told the News: “Thanks to your report and Facebook postings someone in Marlpool found him a week later. Bobby has lost a lot of weight and has many scratch marks on him, but at least he is now home safe and sound. Many, many thanks to you for helping this story to have such a happy ending.”
