AFTER six successive home games, Swanwick Pentrich Road enjoyed their first match away from Highfield Road as they triumphed 5-1 at Holbrook St Michaels.
Mark Brewster hit a brace in the nap-hand success with the other Swans goals coming from Gjuy Wilding, Liam Wallington and Richard Wall. Brett Adul got the Saints reply.
Allenton United recovered from a surprise defeat in the week to Newmount by thrashing Rowsley ‘86 6-1.
Nathan Sandar hit a hat-trick, Danny O’Connell got two and Patrick McBean the other in the rout.
It was a good few days for Newmount who followed up their midweek success by beating Chellaston 3-2.
There were plenty of goals elsewhere in the Premier Division with Melbourne recording a 7-3 win at Ashover.
Dave Brough notched a hat-trick, Lee Scott got two whil Adam Ross and Danny Guild were also on target for Dynamo. Gary Hunt, Luke Carline and Cory Dennis hit the Ashover replies.
For once, Matlock Sports did not score and they went down to a 3-0 defeat against Mickleover RBL.
Wirksworth Town made good use of set-pieces to beat Willington 3-2. Matthew Rickards, Martin Dance and Andrew Brown on the scoresheet for Town.
In division one Ripley Town finished with ten men and went down 5-3 at home to Mickleover RBL Reserves.
Ross Layton hit a brace and Nathan Ball one for Ripley.
Steve Bills was on target again for Allestree. He hit both of their goals in a 2-1 home win over Derby Singh Brothers.
Woolley Moor United drew 2-2 with Pastures and Tibshelf fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to draw 2-2 with Little Eaton. Gary Wilkinson and Steve Clemence hit the Tibshelf goals.
Billy Lester scored for Rowsley ‘86 Reserves but his side went down 4-1 to Derby Rolls-Royce Leisure Reserves.
The third draw in this division ended 4-4 and involved Swanwick Pentrich Road Reserves and Bargate Rovers.
There was just one game in division two with Newton beating visitors Wirksworth Ivanhoe 3-2. Phil Liddell hit two and Adam Bellamy one for the victors.
The first round of the Challenge Cup saw a double-figure victory for Derby Royals Reserves who won 10-2 at Hilton Harriers.
Kirk Francis led the way with a four-goal haul, Jamie Warner hit a brace and Daniel Beresford, Steve Akers, Josh Gregory and Chris Martin were all on target as well. Sam Murfin replied for Hilton.
There were two other high scoring away wins in the Challenge Cup with Mackworth St Francis winning 6-1 at Roe Farm and Little Eaton Reserves defeating Bargate Rovers Reserves 8-1.
Pastures Reserves had Aaron Pegg (2), Johnny Hamilton and Patrick Flik on target in a 4-1 win over Chellaston Reserves and a brace of goals each for Ryan Walters and Andrew Stevenson enabled Ambergate to beat Wirksworth Town Reserves 4-1.
The closest tie of the round saw Melbourne Dynamo Reserves win 3-2 at Allenton United Reserves. Gary Croak, Jack Havron and Jack Tivey scored for Melbourne, Paul Tyres and Ryan O’Connor netting the Allenton goals.
