Police investigating the murder of a man in Kilburn have released the name of the victim.
Barry Smith, 48, of Kilburn, has been formally identified today, Monday, October 7.
Mr Smith’s body was found in the grounds of Kilburn Welfare Social Club, Chapel Street, at around 8.30am on Sunday, October 6.
Five people were arrested on Sunday in connection with Mr Smith’s death.
Two men and two women have been arrested on suspicion of murder while another man has been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender. They remain in police custody.
An incident room has been set up at Alfreton police station.
