Detectives investigating an alleged murder have released this picture of a possible witness they would like to speak to.

Daniel Baker, 32, was found collapsed on Mansfield Road, South Normanton, at 11.35pm on Friday, July 19. He died from a stab wound.

The day before he died, Mr Baker and the man in the image released by police got on to a bus at the same time.

Detective Constable Richard Watson, of the East Midlands Major Crime Unit, said: “This man may have spoken to Mr Baker and could be able to help us piece together what happened in the hours before he died. We know they both got on to the Red Arrow bus at Clay Cross at about 4.50pm on July 18 and travelled towards Derby. I’m appealing to this man or to anyone who recognises him to contact me on 101.”

Two people have been charged with Mr Baker’s murder.
