Officers who are investigating the death of Daniel Baker in South Normanton on Friday have appealed to the public for help to find the weapon which was used to kill him.

Detectives believe the weapon is a carving-type knife and have asked local residents and dog walkers to check their gardens, hedgerows and paths.

Anyone who finds a knife of that description should contact police on 101.

Leon Lockhart, 31, and Michaela Griffiths, 24, from South Normanton, were charged with murdering the 32-year-old yesterday.

They will appear before magistrates in Chesterfield this morning.
