Moustache sporting males across the region took a well-earned shave this week - having completed an annual facial hair growing charity event.
Everyone from shop workers to school teachers and even bobbies have taken part in the global phenomena that is ‘Movember’ in our towns.
The stunt raises money for men’s health, including for Prostate Cancer UK, At The Original Factory Shop on Grosvenor Road in Ripley, staff grew an array of fuzzy facial delights - raising £500 for Ripley Community Hospital.
Store manager Craig Gregory, 30, said : “We joked about doing it a while back because none of us had facial hair, we were all quite clean shaven.
“I’ve never grown facial hair in my life, I’ve got blond hair and I thought I would look ridiculous!
“But two of the lads have grown really impressive moustaches.
“We’ve had a really good response from customers.”
