Man knocked unconscious during Codnor pub attack

A man was knocked unconscious during an attack at a pub in Codnor.

At 10.05pm on Friday, October 14, a man punched another man in the face in the Poet and Castle pub on Alfreton Road.

The victim passed out - but the offender continued to punch him in the face. He then ran from the pub.

The victim was taken to hospital where he received treatment for a broken nose and cheekbone.

A 53-year-old man from Codnor was arrested on suspicion of assault and has been released on police bail pending further investigation.
