Man charged with handling stolen goods from Amber Valley

A man has been charged with handling stolen goods in connection with thefts from vans in the Amber Valley area.

The charges are in relation to a number of tools which have been stolen from vans in the South Normanton and Swanwick area in November 2016.

A Derbyshire Police spokesman said: “A man from South Yorkshire has been charged with handling stolen goods by officers investigating thefts from a number of vans in the Amber Valley area.”

Kieran Hopkinson, 26, of Edenthorpe Dell, Sheffield, was charged with three counts of handling stolen goods on Thursday, February 9.

Mr Hopkinson is due to appear before magistrates at Chesterfield Justice Centre on Thursday, March 30.
