Youngsters receive dance awards

Talented pupils from Sharon Bednall School of Dance in Marlpool were presented with a number of awards, having taken exams in a range of styles.

The presentation dance took place at William Gregg VC Leisure Centre, on Hands Road, in Heanor and saw more than 500 awards were presented in ballroom, latin, freestyle and street dance. Special achievement awards were also presented to pupils from the school with Lucy Bednall being presented with the All Rounder Trophy.

Sally Ann Eyre was also presented with her award for qualifying as a dance teacher.  The awards were presented by Mr and Mrs Steve Aulton.
