Youngsters in Kilburn and Denby have been helping police to encourage drivers to park safely around their schools.
Pupils at Kilburn Infant and Nursery School, Kilburn Junior School and John Flamsteed School have taken part in a poster competition to promote road safety.
The project was set up by the Kilburn Safer Neighbourhood Policing Team as part of their priority to target road safety issues around schools and throughout the general area, including speeding and parking.
To help the team, youngsters from each of the schools were asked to design a poster to encourage parents and drivers to park responsibly at school start and finish times.
The winning designs, one from each school, have been transferred onto sign boards by the police and will be displayed around the school entrances ready for the start of the new term in September.
As well as their design being displayed on the signs, the winners each received a road safety pack including high visibility vest, pencil case, stickers and other goodies.
