Woman attacked while dog-walking in Pinxton

A WOMAN was attacked by a man as she walked her dog in Pinxton on Monday January 30.

Police say the 20-year-old was assaulted on a footpath close to Sleights Lane in the village at around 12.30pm.

She suffered facial and other injuries as a result of the attack and was taken to Sutton’s King’s Mill Hospital for treatment.

Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen the incident to come forward.

They are also keen to talk with people who use the footpaths, off Sleights Lane, on a regular basis.

Anyone with any information about the attack should contact Derbyshire police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
