Woman killed in Dorset beach landslide tragedy believed to be from Heanor

A woman killed in the Dorset beach tragedy is believed to be from Heanor.

Charlotte Blackman, 22, was walking along the beach with her boyfriend and father when 400 tonnes of rock fell on them at Burton Bradstock near Bridport on Tuesday, July 24.

Passersby managed to pull the men clear, but could not get to the woman after the landslide at 12.30pm.

Police said her body was recovered at 9.40pm that night. The two men are recovering in hospital.
