WI backing for Ben’s Den

Members of Shipley Women’s Institute (WI) came together to raise £1,000 for the charity Ben’s Den.

The cash was collected through a Queen’s Diamond Jubilee raffle, a wine and cheese evening and a crafts fair.

Ben’s Den was set up in memory of 13-year-old Ben Parker, who died of cancer. The charity provides holidays for children with the illness. Pictured are Margaret Jackson and Marie Parker , of the WI, handing the cheque to Tracey Parker, of Ben’s Den.
