Police have urged motorists to protect their vehicles after a spate of car break-ins over the weekend in Amber Valley.

Tools were stolen in two separate incidents from cars parked on Carter Lane East, in South Normanton.

In both cases entry to the cars was forced. The break-ins happened overnight on Thursday, April 24, and Friday April 25.

A theft from a vehicle occurred on Derby Road, Langley Mill, on Saturday April 26 between 5pm and 5.30pm,

The side door was forced open and thieves took CDs and a phone charger.

Offenders smashed a side window of a vehicle parked on Marshall Street, in Alfreton.

A car stereo was stolen. This happened overnight on Sunday April 27.

A black and silver, 57 plate, Huoniao 125 motorbike was stolen from the back garden of a house on Weston Street, Heanor, overnight on Monday April 28.

Thieves cut the chain securing the motorbike. Please quote crime number 17581/14.

A lawn-mower was stolen from a garage on Heanor Road, Codnor, overnight on Saturday April 26. Please quote crime number 17445/14.
