Vandals ruin play equipment at park

A witness appeal has been launched after play equipment was damaged at a park in Riddings.

A climbing frame was damaged and a rope swing was set fire to on Riddings Park, West Street next to the community centre between Monday, September 10 and Wednesday, September 12.

The equipment was so badly damaged it has had to be removed. PC Mark Gibbs from Riddings and Ironville Safer Neighbourhood Team said: “These vandals have ruined two expensive pieces of equipment. “

Police are encouraging anyone with information, to contact PC Mark Gibbs or PCSO Meikel Miller using the non-emergency number 101.
